Pam Hallock received a Bachelor and Masters Degree from Indiana State University. Pam started her teaching career in Enterprise, Alabama, teaching third grade. She returned to Vigo County and taught for seven years at Sandison and West Vigo Elementary schools, teaching fourth and fifth grades.
She became principal of Forest Park Elementary, Clay County in the fall of 1979. After six years, she returned to Vigo County where she was named Elementary Curriculum Coordinator for the VCSC. After a year, she was selected as principal of Crawford School where she stayed for six years.
She became principal of White Oak Elementary School in Avon in 1992 and in 1995, she opened Avon’s newest school, Sycamore Elementary. Pam was instrumental in Sycamore Elementary being recognized internationally as an Invitation Education School, an Indiana Gold Star School, and a Four Star School. She retired in 2007.
She has two grown sons, one graduated from the United State Military Academy (West Point) and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and the other is a graduate of Indiana University's Kelly School of Business and works for Delco Electronics in the finance division. Pam enjoys volunteering for service organizations and church, golfing, reading, traveling and playing with her four grandchildren.
