Join IRTA President David Lennen and IRTA Executive Director Laura Penman for our highly anticipated fourth annual Connecting Virtually event. This 2.5-hour program offers new perspectives and valuable information for Indiana’s retired teachers and future retirees.

This year, we’re thrilled to feature Graciela Miranda, the 2025 Indiana Teacher of the Year, and an exciting updated presentation of INPRS: Pension Matters by Steve Russo, who will share insightful strategies and information tailored for 2025.

Q: Who can join?

A: Anyone! We have essential information tailored for current members, future members, retired educators, active educators, and friends/family of educators. Join us from wherever you are in the world.

 

Q: Can I attend both sessions?

A: Certainly! Upon registration, you'll receive an email with a link to the event. This same link will grant access to both sessions, allowing for easy re-entry if needed. It's important to note that the afternoon session from 1-3:30 p.m. EST is a repeat of the morning session from 9-11:30 a.m. EST. Feel free to join us at any time, and if you've attended the morning session, you can revisit any parts you found particularly valuable during the afternoon. We look forward to your participation!

 

Q: How do I join the webinar?

A: It's simple! Just click the link in this email to access our new straightforward registration page. No need to create an account or remember a password. After registering, you will receive an email with a link to the event. The same link will grant access to both sessions. With this new platform, attendees can re-enter the event with the same link, making it easy in case of technical difficulties or if you need to step away temporarily.

 

Q: Can I participate in the discussion?

A: Absolutely! We encourage active participation. Feel free to submit your questions and comments through the chat feature during the event. Please note that upon entry, your camera and microphone will be turned OFF. To ensure the best experience for all participants, you will NOT be able to turn your camera/mic on without our approval.

A: We've got you covered. Technical support will be available. Ensure a stable internet connection, and for a seamless experience, consider joining a few minutes early to address any potential issues. A: Yes, indeed! The entire event will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be shared with you afterward for your convenience.

A. Absolutely! Door prizes will be awarded throughout the event (and announced afterward via email). Attendance at the event is required to win, and the winner must also be a current member of IRTA.
